Sahuri Indic format is designed to be:
- unambiguous to pronounce Indic words correctly, i.e.
- phonetically accurate mapping to major Indic scripts (Devanagari, Kannada, etc.) and Roman encodings (IAST, Baraha, ITRANS)
- easy to read Roman letters without training, i.e.
- no special diacritical marks or special characters
- intuitive use of CAPS for emphasized sounds only (R, L, T, Th, D, Dh, N, Sh, H, OM)
