Moorthy Rao Thatha was an iconic figure of our family whose accomplishments span Technology, Literature, Music, Art & particularly Dhaarmic and Philanthropic activities in close association with Seers of several Matha’s including Admar, Pejawar and Vyasaraja. His partner in life since childhood was Rangamma Ajji whose amazing skills, ranging from administration of a large household to traveling around the world and hosting UN officials, were only surpassed by her dedication to Thatha’s mission and her devotion to the Lord.
As part of their legacy, Dhaarmic activities were continued with Sarva Moola Paatha & other Upanyasas conducted at their house in Bangalore by the Rangamma & Moorthy Rao Trust started by our father S. Krishna Rao & later taken over by His Holiness Sri Vishwesha Thirtharu of Pejawar Matha.
Four decades have passed by and to celebrate Ajji & Thatha’s remembrance we would like to conduct various programs during this 40th year at the historical venue with Family and Friends, with the sole intention of continuing the Dharma Kaarya’s that they espoused.
One of the events planned is during Sarva Pitrupaksha, which is when All Pitrus (three generations of ancestors) come to bless the extended family during this event which we conduct annually. Other events planned over the year include Pravachanas by reputed scholars and Bhiksha offering to a Mathaadhipati Swamiji.
All suggestions to maximize the remembrance of our ancestors are welcome.
