हरि सर्वोत्तम । वायु जीवोत्तम | श्री गुरुभ्यो नमः
On the divine occasion of महाशिवरात्रि let us recall the beautiful and compact composition of श्री व्यासराजतीर्थ praising Lord Rudra, the regulator of our mind (मनोभिमानि), and seek blessings for knowledge, devotion and detachment (ज्ञान, भक्ति, वैराग्य):
ललितचन्द्रनिभाननसुस्मितं शिवपदं शिवदं स्मरतां शिवं ॥
विशदकोटितटित्प्रभया युतं शिवजया शिवया शिवया युतं ॥ १ ॥
नटननाट्यनटं नटगायकं जनमुदं जलजायतलोचनं।। २ ॥
भुजगभूषणभूषितविग्रहं प्रणम हेजनते जनवल्लभं ॥ ३ ॥
श्रुतिशतप्रभया प्रभयायुतं हरिपदाब्जभवं शिरसा धृतं।। ४ ॥
शिव शिवेति शिवेति शिवेति वै भव भवेति भवेति भवेति वा ॥ ५ ॥
मृड मृडेति मृडेति मृडेति वै भजति यः सततं प्रणतामीयात् ॥ ६ ॥
॥ इति श्रीव्यासतीर्थयतिकृता लघुशिवस्तुतिः ॥
